Odd one out (OPEN)

Jasmine sat curled up on the wide window sill. Owls were flooding around her eager for someone to talk to. No one likes a slytherin. "Your life is so simple" explained Jasmine to a barn owl. "The other slytherins dont even like me, just because i have no idea about my past." Jasmine bit her lip as tears welled up in her eyes. All the owls saw this and flew to her side trying to comfort her. "Why dont the other houses like you?" asked the barn owl cocking his head to one side. "I am slytherin and I dont even know why, other slytherins hate me cuz i am nice. You guys are my only friends." The barn owl flew to her shoulder as Jasmine began to sob. "My parents kept Tammy but my mom died when she had me so my dad blamed me and gave me away to an orphanage. Acouple months later Dad died and Tammy began taking care of me." Jasmine buried her head in her hands and began to sob, her shoulders shuddering as owls began telling her how much they loved her. There was a creak outside the door and Jasmine looked up aprehensivley...

It was Indago, she wasn't sure why she was there, she had nobody to send a letter to. The only people that she knew that cared about her lived within the walls of the castle. Her secret could no longer be hidden, and the robes three sizes to big were no longer a choice, but more of a necesity. Yep, everyone who got a glance of Indago could tell she was pregnant. Indago looked up from her stomach to see a Slytherin. She took no notice, the last thing she needed was a confrontation. Her owl fluttered down to her shoulder, rubbing her feathery head on Indago's ear.

Jasmine pretended not to see the ravenclaw. Jasmine prayed she would not notice that she was the odd on out from the WHOLE school. Jasmine couldnt control the tension in her any more. She needed an out let and fire was out of the question. All of a sudden when Indago turned her back Jasmine began sobbing. Indago spun around as Jasmine was sobbing uncontrollably and shaking as if she was possessed. Jasmine did not care. Jasmine tryed to get up and accidently fell backwards as she ung out the window. Her grip tight on the ledge but she did not know how long her grip could hold. She began shrieking for help.

"Hold up!" Indago shouted, then grabbed the Slytherin by her wrists, then pulled her in, nearly falling on the stone floor, but recovering her balance.

Jasmine was stunned. Why would anyone save her? She was suprised the girl just didn't just walk out. Her mouth moved trying to form words but none came out. All of the owls perched themselves right by Jasmine. Jasmine began stuttering and the only thing that came out was"Why?"

"Why?" Indago asked incredulously. She had just saved the girl's life and she was asking why? Wasn't it obvious why she would save someone's life?

Jasmines Telepathy had been activating its self recentley and she heard Indagos thought. "Because, no one ever gives a dang care or thought about a slytherin. People judge and the world is simply unfair. I try to be nice and Slytherins hate me. I were their badge and every one hates me. People judge and that is why the world is chatoic. That is why i was here. No one cares." said Jasmine flatly. "Oh yeah, I forgot" said Jasmine. "Your owl dropped this off and told me to give it to you while he slept. It was badly folded and opened in my lap. Your sister, who you thought is dead, I tihnk her name is Lily, was found stranded and will come to Hogwarts soon. She is a second year and has lived alot of her life a reject. She hopes you will accept her." Explained Jasmine as she turned around and walked out.

Indago arched an eyebrow. "Wait! I care." Indago said softly.

Jasmine spun around in suprise some one would talk to her. you do? she projected

"Yeah, I was in your shoes before, I know it sucks. Just hang in there, you'll see. Life's worth living." Indago projected back, with a small smile.

For the first time in months Jasmine smiled a real smile. She had never felt she was able to trust someone and now for the first time she felt that feeling. A feeling of trust and relief and happiness. She could not help but smile even more. "Thank- you" projected Jasmine in a watery smile

"Hey, there's nothing to cry about!" Indago said aloud, then gave Jasmine a tissue.

Liliana burst in just then and eyed Indago. Then she saw Jasmine and smiled.

"Hello, Liliana." Indago said.

"Hi Indy." Liliana smiled and walked iver to her. "I was just discussing this with Min, but I just wanted to let you know how much you are like family. You and Min both." she added.
